My first real MD find...a US Calvary Rosette

I found this on my first metal detecting expedition in Northwest Arkansas. I believe this relates to the Battle of Pea Ridge. I found a little bit on the internet about it. Apparently, it is a US Calvary Bridle Rosette. Not bad for my first real find, huh?

If anyone knows anything else about this, please tell me about it. I found it where there was supposed to be a Confederate campsite, but I think its Yankee?
