Hit an old park today for an hour. Among the modern clad, I also found an old button, and a what-zit. BUT.....I also found my first ring!!!! It's a womans ring, with a light green stone inlay (does anyone know the name of this stone?). The ring was buried about 4 inches down. I'm not sure if the stone is real, but inside the band on the ring is printed the word "sterling" so I technically found my first silver as well!! I plan to go out tomorrow too, weather permitting. Thanks for reading, and Happy Hunting to all!

Sweet ring!
Congrats :)
It's hard to see the color (may be my monitor)......
light green might be peridot.

Sterling means it's an older ring too!

She's a beauty for sure!

Congratulations!

Nice ring! It feels pretty neat when you get that first one, gives you so much confidence to.

And, this is just the beginning of your ring finding career.

It appears to be a opal or pua shell/abalone shell. Hard to tell without further pic at different angles and lighting.

I think the Whatizit is a very old deadbolt plate. (The part where the bolt goes when you turn the key).

I have found them at old homesites and taverns. If that is the case, there may have been a home on the site at one time.
