1867. My second oldest coin find.
Tried to lightly clean it with a soft brass brush, but it seems worse now.
Vinegar worked good on my horrible looking buffalo, any thoughts?

Congrats on a rare find !
It's entirely up to you but ... the best way I've found to clean Nickels is with Very Fine Steel Wool.

That is a great find! Congratulations!

Sweet find. Maybe try a wooden toothpick/skewer. Just remember that anytime you think about cleaning a coin, you'll run the risk of making it worse.

Nice finds, congratulations! Great old coin. Thanks for sharing.
