my first silver coin

I went out about 2 weeks ago with damn Yankee and hunted a old dump site found what I thought was a wheaty . I finally cleaned up my finds and that wheaty turn out a 1906 barber. My first silver coin ever

Finding got first silver is a thrill that people who are not into this hobby just don't get. You tell them you found a silver coin and the first thing they ask is, " How much is it worth?" You reply, not much and they give you a blank look. But we get it and I hope you get more, silver that is.

Nice find Congrats. My first silver was a Barber dime... I have 26 silver coins now, but still only one Barber. I should have savored that little rascal more, but I had no idea how rare it would be for me. GL&HH!

Just today I found my second silver w/detector. Was about 15 ft away from first find. Both are in the yard next door. Both are Dimes 1st one a 1960, todays find was cooler... 1928(Merc) Winged Liberty Head. Silver was soooooo much cleaner tan all the clad I've been digging up. Even 2013 coins stained and dark. Silver bright and shiny.
