My first SLQ ~ 1949 & 1950 Silver Dimes ~ 1945 War nickel
Today I met Wayne & Ron at Skinner Butte Park in Eugene Oregon to do some detecting. I dug my first Standing Liberty Quarter (no date, 1917 to 1924 style ~ "S" mint) ~ 1949-S and 1950-D Silver Roosevelt dimes ~ 1945-S War nickel ~ and about $3.00 in clad. Also, I found a lead seal ~ one side reads USA, and the other side reads YNP. Anyone know what this lead seal was used for? What's YNP stand for?

Great digs.....I got my first SLQ just the other day and what a thrill it was. Don't get me wrong, I love finding Rosie's and Merc's, but there is just something about those larger silver coin that makes your pulse race.....congrats and keep em coming.....
Keep up the good work.
