My first spanish silver !!! Two new pics added

Me and levisdad went out today at a local school . I was getting the usual clad working with my daughter Shiloh , when I get an odd penny signal . I was getting few signals where I was so decided to dig . When I first saw it I thought it was some sort of play money because of the size of it , then I saw the date .
I hollered at scott and he came to check it out . The date is 1793 !! The one thing I know for sure is that it IS silver , so it is two firsts for me this year , 1st silver for the year and oldest coin to date for me .

I believe your coin is a 1753 half reale.

spectacular job! You should take it into your local coin shop and have them test it to see if its real if you are un-sure.

My young boys have been known to not only look at my finds but take one or two also. I bet some kid took his dad's favorite beach find to show off at school for show and tell and had a hole in his pocket!

The school was built in the 70,s , I found it in right field around 4 inches deep . If it was a kid drop , I sure do appreciate it , lol .

French & Indian war period coin could have ended up there any number of ways !

Kirk , yes , this was found very close to a river with indian and white settlers in this very area .
