Just wanted to share some picks of my coin finds so far: 1 Walking Liberty Half, 1 Standing Liberty quarter , 3 Washington quarters , 1 Barber dime, 2 Mercury dimes, 7 Roosevelt dimes and a 1918 Half Crown. My best coppers have been an 1865 indian head and 1803,1828, and 1846 Large Cents. All but the half crown, 1 Washington and 1 Rosie came from schools built no earlier than 1915. I must have stumbled onto an old house site at one of the schools because all the old coppers as well as at least a dozen flat buttons and several old rings came from one small corner of one schoolyard. Beginners luck maybe.

Man; that is a heck of a nice start!!!!!!! You have some great spots where your at!!!!!!

Looks like somebody is addicted! Lol

I'd say you did great for a beginner.:occasion14: It took me 8 months to find 20 silver and I never found more than 3 at the same property. It took me 11 months to find my 1st LC. My Bother-in-law took 11 months to find his 1st silver.

great start, heck theres many here that have been at it for years and haven't found some of the things you've found

great work!!

Congrats on a nice start!

You live in a great state to start out in,nice digs!

Super first three months of finds! Took me over two years to find my second silver coin :dontknow: If you weren't hooked for life on metal detecting you are now :laughing7::laughing7:

Once the nearby sites have dried up ill have to drive farther to hunt and will likely go hunting less

Great start!! Took me over a year to find my first big silver and it wasn't a older Walker, a newer Franklin.

Congrats!!

I was hunting with a friend behind the house he grew up in and he found a Franklin, two silver Washingtons and two buffalo nickels in the same hole. I think that's the only silvers he has found though. Another friend has not found any and they both have been hunting for as long as me
