My first year of metal detecting. 2009

I know it may seem dishonest, but i always have one pocket with a 1-2 wheaties, clad nickels, quarters, and zincolns to show owners "what i've found" while detecting their yard. I keep all of the "real" coins in another pocket so all of my hard work isn't for nothing. I also show them all of the relics that i've found so they can take what they like. I'm more of a coin collector and could care less if they took all of my "junk" off of my hand for me. I do keep some relics like pocket watches, keys, dog tags, real old bullets and such because i think they're neat, but anything else is free game for the home owner lol.

This is AWESOME! I just picked up my first MD this past weekend and after two really short trips I have only found:

one 1991 quarter, iron nail, iron bolt, mess of iron blob, bottle cap, and a piece of barbed wire
