My flakey field again.

Well I just can't help but go back there, even all I've ever found is flakes. This is a pile that was washed out in the same spot after big rain. I walked up slope to see if I could find source, to no avail. But some day I know one will jump out at me!

You must have a knapping spot, there is got to be a broken point or tool there some where. Good Luck HH

Check the flakes I have found sometimes the flakes are the tools. Every once in a while you will find a point if you flip them around.

will go back & pick up the flakes. We had another rain, so I'm sure it washed more out. I am sure I have passed up some tools just through my ignorance. But most of what I find are flakes.

dlos, that's just what I was thinking. My ex girl friend and her Dad would always gather up flakes when they walked a field and than leave them in piles. Never quite understood why they would carry the stuff around and than leave it in piles, but I could always tell when they beat me to a field. LOL

Some smart a$$ hunters around here will do that to purposely let someone know they beat you to it in hopes you'll go away! I always walk anyway and usually find stuff they missed!
