My fossil buddy found this nice Marion.

This is the 4th black Marion he has found in the same area near the Peace River. He owns the land.

Chances are seeing all of the fossils are stained black the points are probably stained as well. Might be a different color under the stain. This year I had some stained artifacts that made them look ugly so I decided to soak them in vinegar. One I thought it was a black chert although stained black it was actually a quartz point. So of course I can’t say that’s what he has but it’s a possibility.
