My Geezer Assistant

I am an old geezer with old geezer joints and stuff. On the good days, I get up slowly and creek a lot. On the bad days,I crawl over to a tree, rock, or picnic bench.
So I made the handy-dandy geezer assistant. It carrys my tools, stashes the trash, and when i get up..I put it on the grass plug to press it down. I have used it two outings now and can't figure out any improvements that it needs.

Not shown in my geezer assistant is a small key hole saw. The best thing for roots of all sizes.

I like it , how heavy is it, is it cumberson to carry. I have a bad knee . looks like somthing that mite be good for me. Did you replace your belt bag too.

Pretty slick, I could use something like that myself :thumbsup:

Wondering about something a bit lighter though, maybe adapting something like this?

But replace the seat with a bag, maybe even one of those that fit a 5 gallon bucket (for tools, trash, goodies, etc.)

Thanks for looking guys. It didn't seem very heavy and balanced out real well. I tried to weigh it on my bathroom scales, but wouldn't register at all. (digital) Anyway I decided to lighten it. I replaced the 3/4"sides with 3/16" scrap panneling. I stumbled on this folding-locking, pruning saw at Sears bargen table for $4.00. I hung my key hole saw back in the garage. You don't really notice the thing because your swinging the MD with the other arm, kinda like it's easier to carry two buckets of water than one. I still use my nail apron, but don't know why a person couldn't tack one to the side of the Geezer Assistant. I think I'll do that tomorrow.

Just a thought on weight...... One of those rubbermaid plastic buckets with the two compartments could be used to lighten the load.

If you're reeaallly lazy like me, you might want to look at photographers vests. I've been using a Tamarac for awhile now. works great lots of pockets for essentials trash goes in the lg pocket in the back everything else is handy & in reach in front. It has shoulder tabs to keep camera straps on your shoulder that work great to keep headphone cable out from around your knees. The other benefit is you have everything on you where you can keep an eye on your tools when you're being pursued by a herd of "Whatchadoins"
