I know, it's probably not too exciting, but for me it was an awesome find...this is the larges piece of petrified wood to date...It was found Saturday in a small creek section off of an old park here in town...this came out of a shallow hole I was working, looking for older coins that had been washed down the creek....Thanks for taking a look...

Where abouts did you come upon this lovely find?

Was found in a small creek here in Dallas, TX.

Henderson county has some huge petrified wood pieces, mainly pine. Also I have sound some fairly large pieces just north of you in Grayson county. Any of the large creeks are good spots to hunt.
