My neck of the woods

Ran into this guy Sunday evening. Black flies were horrendous, but the clouds on him made mine look like nothing. Taken in North Bridgewater, VT., from a canoe. Distance 8 ft. Gotta love spring in the north woods!

Nice pics. We called black flies 'buffalo gnats'. We have a lot of moose up here, but when I tried to get a pic of the one I located, he put me right back in the truck.

Woah, I always got nervous getting too close to those Moose. Moose and Mountain Lions make my skin crawl in the bush. It was never the Bears.
