Hi all. Sit back, this is gonna be a long one.
My new F-70 arrived on time Thursday, 6pm, from Bart. So I did some air tests. Results are as follows;
Settings= Disc 18, Thres -3, Sens 85, Mode DE and Tones DP
Target, TID# and depth:
1974 Ike dollar= TID# 91-94. Depth 12"
1971 Kennedy half= TID# 86-90. Depth 12"
1996 quarter= TID# 78-83. Depth 9"
1998 dime= TID# 68-74. Depth 9"
1999 nickel= TID# 27-34. Depth 7"
2013 cent= TID# 60-63. Depth 7"
1973 copper cent= TID# 69-73. Depth 8"
1952 silver quarter= TID# 83-86. Depth 10"
1953 silver dime= TID# 73-76. Depth 9"
1945D War nickel= TID# 30-34. Depth 7"
1944 wheat cent= TID# 69-73. Depth 7"
1908 Indian cent= TID# 64-67. Depth 7"
These are a few results.
I've also noticed 2 design flaws. The lower shaft does Not have rubber washers! They are needed for stability. Also, the heel of the 10" coil has epoxy on it?
Time will tell.
Peace
