I think it is an excellent, unbiased explanation of all the beach hunting machines.

I gotta admit, when I clicked on the video I was definitely expecting you to get on your soapbox and preach about the Sandshark but you didn't.

It explains the basic differences between each machine.
Slightly redundant, but for someone who is just getting into beach hunting that redundancy will help them to remember.

Good explanations concerning the basic use of each machine. May help a newbie decide between a discrimination machine or a pulse. The scoop section could have mentioned the types of stealth scoop models and the weight issues
that go with the well built scoops. Overall very informative and easily understood commentary.

The problem in vietnam is, you want to know where the iron is so you don't dig it up. Everyday in this country somebody is killed from munitions left over from the war.

Terry: You are off to a good start on this video.
I would not use the term knock out iron as it is misleading, in that you know when the coil is over iron as you loose the treshhold tone. The reason why multifrequency VLF detectors are more expensive is that it is more costly to build wide band amplifiers and NEEDED higher capacity power supplies.

I would like to see more on what differentiates these detectors from each other E.G.
Excalibur Nulls, Multivariable tones
CZ21 - conclusive, have three tones, able to cover more ground as it allows you to swing your coil faster.

White Dual Field inner six inch coil has higher sensitivity to gold, 12 inch coil allows you to cover more surface.

Sea Hunter - flexibility. Allows you to change coils and head phones to meet beach conditions.

Sand Shark - Best price point, life time warranty.

I liked your objectivity Terry, I hope you keep it this way.

The scoops should be in a different video.

Mekong Mike: You know where the iron in with the Excalibur in discrimination mode as it nulls (no tone) when the discriminator determines that the object is iron or in not able to confirm a non ferrous target. It's multi variable tone will change dependent upon the next object it comes across (low growl for iron, higher pitch for non ferrous). In pinpoint/ all metal mode it detects all targets (ferrous and non ferrous) with a single tone or if small/deep with a whisper of that single tone. None of the detectors in the video should be used for detecting mines or dangerous ordinance as they induce an eddy current in the object detected.

The detectors used to detect mines work differently with the ground fields.
A major problem with unexploded ordnance is that over the years the detonator and main charge deteriorate, frequently making them more sensitive to disturbance, and therefore more dangerous to handle.
