Got only one easy surface find! (Its clean!)😂 Amazing how much trash you dig before getting a reward!, So now my plan, dig until its quiet!
Using my new Nokta Triple Score is a game changer,
So all you hunters,,,, for every treasure(coin) you get, how much trash have you dug?

I'm not a coin hunter but I'll tell you trash to gold. It really depends on the area.
sometimes all targets are gold and sometimes all i find is trash.
overall i would say I'm at about 1/30 gold vs trash and am happy if its 1/20.
I also only use all metal. no discrimination.
keep digging that aluminum and sooner or later you are going to hit some gold.
also i like the idea of (dig until it's quiet)

I've been detecting for 37 years, so I couldn't begin to think of a trash to treasure ratio. All I can tell you is that I do dig a lot of trash (by choice) and I find a lot of nice coins and relics by doing so. By passing on the trashy bad signals, you may be passing on something well worth digging !

You're doing good. Too many new detectorists ruin their chance for spectacular finds by using discrimination. It's hard not to get frustrated by digging tons of trash but it is the price you need to pay to find the really good things. I can tell you that over the years I have dug many valuable items that absolutely would be cancelled out if I was relying on using discrimination to avoid the trash. Do the work and you will be rewarded.
