After the coin roll hunting forum this is the one I visit 2nd most on Treasurenet. I enjoy your stories and finds. My life is busy so I do not often visit garage sales. Lately I have been searching in my own garage. I have made some nice "finds". I just finished up an E bay auction of some old push button light switches and an old outlet. These have been in a box in may garage for over 15 years. I listed them on Craigs for a couple of months for $10 and had no takers. I next tried Ebay they sold for $24.50 plus $8.49 for shipping. Here is a link to the sale: Lot 3 Vintage Push Button Light Switchs and 1 Cool Hubble Outlet with Cover | eBay
I hope the link still works.
I also sold off some Dungeons and Dragons miniature lead figures. I have had these in a shoe box for over 30 years. They sold for $20 plus $3.59 shipping. Here is a link to them: Dungeons and Dragons Miniatures Lot of 10 Warriors Orc Monsters Etc | eBay
It has been fun cleaning out my garage and selling my "finds". Take a look around your garage and see what you have on hand to sell. I have yet to venture into my attic.
PS I often year people on this forum complain about E bay Fees. When I was in my 20's before E bay and Craig's list. I used to buy and sell houses. One house I bought had a ton of vintage photography equipment, photos, vintage porn, negatives etc. My buddy and I loaded all the photo equipment up in his pickup truck and went to a bunch of photo studios around Detroit to see who might be interested in the photo equipment. After about four stops a guy offered us $300 cash for the equipment. I also new and antique deal who specialized in photos, postcard and paper. He gave us $500 for all the negatives, photos, vintage porn, and other stuff that was in the photo room of the house I bought. If there would have been Ebay at that time I would have gladly paid their fees to expose the stuff for sale to buyers around the USA and world. Therefore I do not complain about Ebay fees. I never would have sold my push button switches for $24.50 (minus Ebay fees)
Keep on searching (your own garage)
