Detector(s) used
Garrett GTI 2500 and Garrett Ace 250
About a month ago I upgraded from an ACE 250 to a Garrett GTI 2500. I love my new detector, but it is alot heavier than the ACE. Last week I bought a harness called the Swingy Thingy and used it Saturday for the first time during an all day hunt.

I could tell a significant difference in my stamina, and the only breaks I had to take was to eat lunch or drink some water. At the end of the day I had no shoulder pain and my arm didn't have that "dead" feeling (if you've ever been on an all day hunt then you know what I'm talking about). The cost is $30 and it seems to be very durable and can withstand alot of abuse. It is very simple to attach and requires no tools.

The negatives----It does get in the way a little when trying to climb a fence or digging because your detector is continouesly attached to your body. The detector can be unhooked from the harness, but the clips are very stiff and difficult to unsnap.

Overall I highly recommend the Swingy Thingy if you do any all day hunts. I won't use it when I go to my favorite park to burn a couple of hours, but it does come in handy when spending several hours at a time swinging that heavy detector. I'd say it was $30 well spent.

That looks like 'the way to go'.
I get tired of 'changing arms'. :P

Fossis................

When I had Tennis elbow I needed something like this so I ran a cord with a large loop around my neck and tied he other end to a bungee and onto the shaft near the coil. The suspension bridge thingie worked well enough till my arm got better, but I had to stay out of the brush.
