Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Got out for some morning metal detecting today. Detected about an hour and a half at a local small park where a friend had found a Ben Franklin silver half dollar previously. I kept telling myself if he found that hunk of silver here there must be more! After digging up a 1965 dime I was really telling myself I am going to hit silver today, I am right around the date range. Sure enough towards the end of my hunt near the base of a palm tree I got a quarter signal that read 4" down. I dug about two inches down near a root and out popped a frosty looking dime which I knew at first sight from my last silver dime must be silver! And it sure was! A nice 1963D Roosevelt, my second silver dime to date. And later in the day I would get a wheat penny in my change back to top it off lol.

Man,, you sure dug up a lot of trash,,, Big time Congrats on the Silver.
Stay with that spot,, with the removal of all that trash,, the only signals left,, have to be silver. lol
HH and good luck

PS: Now you have to change your silver count

Some of that trash and finds are from other sites other than the park too. I just set everything in a store plastic bag until I find something worth mentioning and then unload the bag and tally everything up lol. Otherwise I would have some posts with just trash and clad :'(

Congrats on the silver, one by one it adds it.

WTG on the Rosie

Well done on the silver dime! The more time you put into this hobby ( obsession), the greater the reward. HH.

@Cryer777 I was using my Bounty Hunter Pioneer 202, my first metal detector. I've found a handful of silver with it.
