Got out for some morning metal detecting today. Detected about an hour and a half at a local small park where a friend had found a Ben Franklin silver half dollar previously. I kept telling myself if he found that hunk of silver here there must be more! After digging up a 1965 dime I was really telling myself I am going to hit silver today, I am right around the date range. Sure enough towards the end of my hunt near the base of a palm tree I got a quarter signal that read 4" down. I dug about two inches down near a root and out popped a frosty looking dime which I knew at first sight from my last silver dime must be silver! And it sure was! A nice 1963D Roosevelt, my second silver dime to date. And later in the day I would get a wheat penny in my change back to top it off lol.
