My Soggy Saturday - Buff & Lrg. Bullet
I met up with RWSNC (Bob) and B|ker (Bill) this morning at the 1830 CW house. The place was saturated with water from all the rain we've been getting. You know when you dig a hole and it fills in with water, it's soggy.
We could have done some mud wrestling, but no one brought their wrestling tights. We mainly hunted on high ground around the house until more rain hit at noon. B|ker outdid us on coins today with some kind of green & yellow detector called a "Garrett 250". When I first saw the colors I thought it was a John Deere detector.
He did pretty good though.
My measly finds were:
*1935 Buff Nickel
*A large 3-ringer bullet. This has to be the largest one in my collection. Over 1" long, and 3/4" wide!!! As heavy as it is, they could have thrown this thing in the CW and killed someone!
What kind and size is this beast?
*Three Niagara silver plated spoons.
(B. Manley- Looks like one of your hunts.
)
*A decorative piece, a salt shaker lid, a broken button back, and a Hubley toy piece.
Not much of a hunt, but we'll do better once it dries out.
