My Son Found a Drill & I don't Mean Craftsman

My Son has been clearing an old fencerow with a dozier between our farm & my Uncle's place. While he was building a new fence, he looked down & eyeballed this Native American flint drill. Tnmountains (who I consider quite an authority on N.A. artifacts) says it could be any time period from Woodland to Archaic as drills were used as tools in all of them.
We frequently find points in areas where Native Americans hunted away from likely camp sites but the drill was a good distance from a water source as shows up today. HH, Q.

Quindy now that is the oldest item you have posted this year !! :occasion14: Nice eye ball find and they are even better when not broke. Fine example for your collection. Thanks for sharing sir.

Oh, Wow what a great find! Congrats to Q-son for eyeballing a real beauty! I guess he's a 'chip' off the old block! :)

Thanks for sharing a stunning piece Q. Congrats to your son for having such a sharp eye. I'd love to find points and Indian artifacts, but this city slicker just doesn't spend enough time hunting fields or bare ground.....

Beautiful find! It pays to keep your eyes open. I wish I could say I was good at looking down to see these things.

My congrats to your son on an awesome find. I'm sure there's gotta be more NA artifacts there.

Waasupp Q meister

Congrats son of Q on an extremely tough find

Thanks for the replies everyone. I may put a video together using the Tenn. Trio's N.A. artifacts soon since we aren't hunting CW relics right now. Some boxes of artifacts represent 3 generation's recoveries. Stay tuned & HH, Q.

Nice frame Quindy that Lost lake is very nice. I also see a large Copena or Benton blade in there? I would enjoy working on the typology of them for you.
