I've been hunting a 300' x 175' section of an early 1900's fairgrounds.
Our Historical Society has pics of a giant grandstand at this spot.
I've hunted it extensively over the last week and pulled some good old coins despite the fact it has been hit hard.

I started digging the iffy, deep targets this morning before work and found a couple of good coins.
Also found a copper ring? It rang in a solid 20 on the Equinox which means copper. Did they wear copper rings back in the day??

This was the last target and it may be telling me it's time to move to new ground!!

How great to have a spot like that to hunt. More than likely the ring was gold or silver plated and the exterior has worn off over time.
