Well I managed to hold out until about noon until it just got to hot. That old road construction site downtown seems to be endless in finding coins. I have been hitting this spot now for 2 or 3 months now as they have been very slow with the process. Each time I go I'm pretty sure its hunted out as I have been there so many times. I admit, its getting harder, but the site continues to produce.

Today's finds

Buffalo Nickel No date

1943 mercury dime

1943 Cuban 5 Centavos

1941 Wheat

1920 Wheat (looks like 0 anyway)

A handful of clad and some other mystery things. If anyone knows what the triangle think is please let me know.

The triangle piece looks like a mower tooth that was used on a mechanical farm rake for cutting grass????

Well Joe , I must say you are very generous to disclose the precise location of "your spot " to all who may be within a few hours of
Milton , Fla. and Canal St. - Nice finds !

Well i have really worked the spot over, so not to big a deal. Think im done there anyway, time to move on to new spots. I have several spots, but waiting on heat, bugs, and the snake population to go away. CANT WAIT FOR COOL WEATHER TO BE HERE!!!

I put my coins in 2x2's as well. I have the type of coin, the date found and location: I have these back to my first old coin in 1992. Congrats on a good hunt.

Dang I'm still over here waiting for my 3rd silver my second was a 35% war nickel. Great finds!

Believe it or not that site will probably produce for years. I have been hunting three different spots. and yes it becomes much more difficult to find things. I have gone over some small areas 20 times or more then I hit a silver coin and it amazes me every time.. I go back on the soils wet and find stuff I go back on the soil is completely dry and find more stuff. it makes me laugh every time someone says I clean that spot out. in reality they just think they've cleaned the spot out.

Great finds and coins
