Here are my thrift store art finds for the past few months. All pieces are originals. No prints or limited editions. I paint and just appreciate originals. All pieces were under $15 or free with the exception of the Todtleben which I paid $200 for because I loved it. All are framed as I found them.

Jim,

For the past few years I too have been buying any art I can get my hands on. Interestingly enough, the average price I have paid for art has been $1. You cant beat it! I hang them up in my "man cave" to make for a very unusually themed room. I have had a few pieces re-framed and my wife even let me hang 1 of the pieces in the living room. LOL.

I buy Native American art by Native Americans. Just a theme I like. I do sell them and it is difficult to let them go.

And a blast from the past, my first TS art piece that I bought 33 years ago; a Chinese painting from 1905 given as a gift to a prominent Catholic missionary Fr Raymond de Jaeger who witnessed the communist takeover in 1949 and was an advocate for a free China.

Great pieces Lost&Found. Love the Bagman painting. I guess that's no surprise with my New England roots.

Gentlemen, your paintings are all beautiful! I have a whole bunch, I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I love art, as it has become a passion! My daughter claims that I need help for buying so much art. I don't think so! I actually just asked her to move out, as I need her room for more art storage space! :-) Joking! I'm actually going to go to college to pursue a degree in art history/art major! It should be a lot of fun! Here are three of my favorites...The beach scene is from J. Gronbeck (California artist), the Asian man (June Ketron, have not found any details about the artist) has in my eyes a lot of Cubism details itself! I just love the pride but at the same time humbleness that radiates from him, last but not least, this Cubist one is from Cuban artist Jose Ygnacio Bermudez. This one is from 1954. That one has beautiful Cubist lines and it screams out Cubism!

Wall space I've run out of awhile ago. What I do is rotate what I have hanging. I've even set up a small room as a personal gallery.

Here are two more paintings I got this year by listed artists.

John Wells James (New Hope School)
