Two weeks ago I made a post lamenting the condition of a two cent piece I had dug at an old homesite in a cow pasture. It was so eaten up that the rim was entirely gone. Yesterday I redeemed myself by digging (2) Two Cent pieces on back to back signals. Prior to this year I had dug (3) Two Centers total in 25 years of detecting. So far this year I have dug 4 of them. Funny how things go in this hobby. In addition to the two 2 cent pieces, I dug 2 Indian Heads, 2 Large Cents, and 2 silver dimes. The large cents are pretty much toast unfortunately. It seems like the early large cents hold up better than those minted in the 1830's and 40's. I have dug 7 large cents this year and only one is in decent condition. I also dug this silver plated copper ring which I think may be a Hop Along Cassidy ring. I have not tried to reserch it yet.
