Two weeks ago I made a post lamenting the condition of a two cent piece I had dug at an old homesite in a cow pasture. It was so eaten up that the rim was entirely gone. Yesterday I redeemed myself by digging (2) Two Cent pieces on back to back signals. Prior to this year I had dug (3) Two Centers total in 25 years of detecting. So far this year I have dug 4 of them. Funny how things go in this hobby. In addition to the two 2 cent pieces, I dug 2 Indian Heads, 2 Large Cents, and 2 silver dimes. The large cents are pretty much toast unfortunately. It seems like the early large cents hold up better than those minted in the 1830's and 40's. I have dug 7 large cents this year and only one is in decent condition. I also dug this silver plated copper ring which I think may be a Hop Along Cassidy ring. I have not tried to reserch it yet.

You need to buy a lottery ticket Steve. You are on fire. Great hard to dig coins!! HH, Quindy.

congrats on the two centers.
those two look pretty good.
i agree that the later LC's seem
to degrade faster than the older
ones. unless they don't...

That's hoppy all right . I think it was 3 box tops and 10 cents I had one , wish I knew where it is now :'(

Steve, One cool hunt man!!!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless HH Chris

Nice job on the 2 centers Steve. You don't see those dug too often. Been a long time since I pulled one out. Good going!

nice coins but that ring could be worth some bucks! congrats

Those are great finds! How do you like your F-75?

Generations of folks must've had holes in their pockets to lose all the coins you're finding there! Good work, Steve. Those 2 Cent pieces are cool; I've yet to dig one myself. Good luck next time you get out.

I have been using the F75 for 4 years now and I love it. I have taken it to a number of my "hunted out" sites and found a lot that I had missed with other machines.

Now those 2 center's are looking a little better than that last one Steve :laughing7: Great dig's man

Love those 2 Centers! They are beautiful.
I've run into similar circumstances with Halfcents,
none for my first 18 months, then four in the last two :icon_scratch:
Great IHs & Silver!
Nice RR, (he looks kinda like Ronald Reagan too)
Best digs to you
