I have always loved the War of 1812 era Artillery buttons with the eagle perched on a cannon. Ever since I first saw a picture of one in Albert's button book I wanted to dig one. It took a few years to find my first (top row, center), and I have dug a few others over the years, including two script A types, 2nd and 3rd Regiment, a 1st regiment with eagle and cannon, and a British Artillery from the period (bottom). Thanks for looking and feel free to add pictures of any you may have to this thread.

Great looking collection of Artillery buttons.

I have some of the same I love the 1812 era!!! I have a beautiful script A coat button and the eagle on the canon. Is the one with the eagle on the cannon with the cannon balls and guilt a code button? I have the cuff button like it. Congratulations on those beautiful buttons they’re in great shape wow I know you felt good. I hope you don’t mind to throw in my Louisiana pelican coat button since I’m so proud [emoji631]image-2021-02-17-16:17:16-568.webp

That's a beautiful Script A, 2nd Regiment, much nicer than mine. The Eagle on the cannon CORPS button is one I want to find. And congrats on the nice CW era Pelican button.

Excellent button finds Steve. I can't contribute any pictures, as I only have 3 Civil War buttons. That's as old as it gets for me !

Nice ones. Those don't appear to have the three cannonballs under the cannon like mine do. What type of site did you find those on?
