Hello all!
I've felt like i hit a wall lately with my spots and havent had any silver in 10+ days. Well i did some research and found a park to hit that has been around since the 1930s and did pretty good. I could tell the park has been hit pretty hard before as signals in my first hour were few and far between but i did grab two wheats so that kept me going. Well i worked my way toward the left side of the baseball diamond and got a sweet 12-45 about 6"down, cut a plug and out Pops a beautiful 1920 Merc...sweet! After getting that i decided to hit that section pretty hard and about 25 minutes later i got a really good sounding 12-45 but it was really shallow, 2-3", so i was thinking clad..i cut a small plug about 4"deep and stuck my pinpointer in and got nothing..Hmmm i said, maybe deeper..stuck my lecshe in the hole to take out more dirt and and it hit a Merc that was standing up only about 1" down on my side wall..hit it perfectly on the edge and it fell right in the middle of my hole..awesome! And i only put a tiny ding in it..luckily that was only a 1941 plain. Well i kept swinging and on the side of the basketball court i got a super sweet sounding 12-47 only 4"down but it sounded better then clad...cut my plug and out Pops this nice Sterling ring! It was a great hunt, and those were silver coins 48+49 this year! That puts me one away from my first year goal of 50! Hope everyone else had a great weekend. Happy hunting. Thanks for looking/commenting.
