Hunt 3 of 7 from my Trip

Couldn’t ask for better weather—blue skies, sunshine, and the just being outdoors hunting. Surf was a little too rough so I focused on the shore break and shallow zones during low tide.

Found a handful of coins, the usual bottle cap suspects, two pairs of sunglasses, some costume jewlery, and the fun one — a 10K gold grill. Acid tested and real at 3.5g. Definitely one of the most unusual finds I’ve had so far.

Nice hunt. I have found gold teeth, stainless steel teeth and silver tooth covers in my 23 years of detecting. All of them came from the water. It is amazing what people loose.

Stay safe, good luck and keep swingin.

That's quite the collection. Surprised how often I'm hearing now of people finding grills!

Melted down gold has a short memory :)
Yep, reminds me of the guy who cleaned out a demolished mortuary crematorium, and found all the melted dental gold in the cracks of the foundation.

When i first seen this post I KNEW RIGHT away it had to be a mold of teeth LOL
Still it is a great find. Makes you wonder how they lost them dosen't it ?

From the replies on here seems it happens more often then you'd think. I suppose the same way anyone looses rings and chains in the ocean. Rogue waves or distracting moments.
