I was out detecting my front lawn (got bored) and found a bunch of clad coins dating from 1980 to about 1986. Nothing before or after. All in one area. I've lived here since 1977. So I must have lost the coins. I don't remember doing anything with coins in that part of the lawn. Anyway, I went up to Canada to visit my daughters and at Canadian Thanksgiving this week asked if they knew anything about some coins buried in the front lawn. The giggling ensured. It seems the younger one, the "140 pound squirrel" admitted to "borrowing" change from my pocket book. She decided to hide it from her older sister. She said she had small stashes of coins everywhere. However, she then thought it would be better for safekeeping to bury them in the yard. In typical squirrel fashion she forgot where she buried them. She is now 30. Enjoy the true story. I've got some more digging to do.

:notworthy: This is wonderful & very funny! :laughing7: :occasion18::sunny::icon_flower: I too had an older sister who tended to take over whenever she could, lol. HAVE FUN! Andi

In our case, the "squirrel" just published her first novel, the older sister is in the final stages of editing a motion picture, I hope it gets a "PG" rating and the parental unit, as they referred to me, directs film. And all I wanted to do when I grew up was be an astronaut. The "grow up" phase is to be determined later - well, off to the beach with the Tesoro.

At lest you know where your spare change IS ! Too funny!

I went out today and started collecting some of "squirelley's" money stash. Got a few coins.

Went back out to the squirrel's stomping ground and dug a handful of quarters. Too bad she didn't hide silver ones.
