How tall, or what size is it? And, are there any markings at all to indicate by whom or when it was made?

OK lets see. 6" tall. seems to be a base of brass. no markings at all unless they are well hidden under all the detail. The craftsmenship is not that great for so much detail. You can see the lines where the 2 halves of the mold met, but it also tells me it is not mass produced. It is also hollow.

Just tidying up some blasts from the past (including some very ancient ones), largely for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

Definitely not a toy, but decorative folk-art and probably c.1950s. They’re generally said to have been made in Tibet or Nepal. I’ve seen with the inlays in other colours too, including blue.
