any clues on this? came out of the ground shiny like this, possibly silver? Any idea what it is? no markings on it

if not silver, what could it be made of that it did not tarnish in the ground?

White gold , platinum or stainless steel. I would say silver or stainless but I think I see copper on the back so probably silver plated copper.

well not sure if it means anything but it was a soild repeatable 12-17 on the etrac, so i guess that rules silver out. Silver would register higher on CO side

12-17 means nothing to me, i use a cheap old bounty hunter with a broken signal meter ,lol, i go by sound. but i say its silver plated copper by looking at your pics.
