NA American Pottery Rim

I found this today with some other smaller pieces from other pots. If you know the type on the rim piece as in the name of the pottery type do tell. Found in the northern part of GA. Its 8 inches long and that is the rim and the true neck section which would be 2 inches at the neck section. Thanks, rock
