NA Artifacts or Rock Garden Items?

Acquired from Old Timer's collection, where he had authentic treasures AND field rocks AND modern reproductions ! Challenging.
These two sure look intentionally smoothed and shaped, but who knows? I can't find an image anywhere of similar items. Are they artifacts, and what would they have been used for? Thank you!

I don't see evidence of human alteration so I believe they're natural.
