Got out for a bit this afternoon. Was a beautiful day to be out in the woods. Ground is kind of dry & the ticks are out and hungry.

I've hit this site on and off for the past 9 years. The past few years it's been a bust but today the site gave up a few goodies, which I attribute to all the snow & frigid temps we had this past winter.

Nabbed a 180x Draped Bust, 1835 LC & my 2nd ever 2 Cent with no date, I got my 1st 2 Cent here 9 years ago.

Congrats on some quality coins and relics. Not bad at all for a place you've hunted for almost a decade.

nice, I found an 1835 LC by chance last summer also, my oldest to date.
Sounds like a site than would pay to go nice and slow and dig iffy but repeatable signals.

You are farther along with spring than here in the Midwest. Ticks and a Mourning Cloak butterfly? Already? I thought New England was colder than that. Gary

Nice results from a well hunted site. It's always nice to get a few out of a old friend. Congrats
Those blood suckers are out as well isn't great news though. Mild winter-I'll expect it might be a bad spring here.

Thanks of the ID on the Butterfly! Had no idea what it was.

Congrats on those beautiful coppers. :icon_thumright:

Looks like you had to work hard for your finds Roger, swinging the coil in those woods looks pretty challenging.
Have you thought about clearing some of the heavier brush away, some of my best finds came when I cleared away fallen branches.

Great finds- Congrats! The soil was rough on a couple, especially surprised to see the 2-center in that shape, but nice finds nonetheless.

Thanks! I've only done that once. Cleaned up & raked the leaves at a different site, tons of work, lol.
