nails or me

hi
i use a spectun xlt and i seem to find a lot of old nails that read out as a high end 95 with the graft line in full Bloom.is me or the type of nails I'm finding or is my xlt off the mark??

it's not off the mark. just avoid anything that has a VDI of +95, it's usually iron or nails

Big steel/iron stuff gives a good VDI of that +95. Raising your coil and still getting that solid signal is usually a pretty good clue that it's iron. Deep beer cans give the same reading. Just got the new Vision and it does it too, as did the DFX. Even my old analog detector got fooled by it.
