Too bad. That is an awful lot of money down the drain. Luckily no one was hurt. The one couple just barely escaped
injury when it crashed so close to their car.

Yep. Sounds like something NASA would do.

Looks like they were launching a balloon in 30mph winds.

I guess they didn't use enough duct tape to secure the equipment.

Anyway, I have no clue why that would draw a crowd to watch a balloon take off. That's like watching a kite fly, not too exciting.

I could see the same thing at a local park when I cut some kids balloon, and it's much safer too. Don't get me wrong, I like to see air shows, but every other year you read about a tragedy. I don't need my name in the papers for being a causality.
