Hi,
I found what I believe to be a Federal Navy Button while metal detecting a rural, Wisconsin school that was built in 1954. The left facing eagle was indicative of the design minted between 1852 and 1940. After 1940, the eagle head faced to his RIGHT. The back does not contain a manufacturer, which is really puzzling to me. All of the similar buttons I have seen contained a back mark. Let me know exactly what I have, approx. age, value, history, etc.. I'm not too interested in the value, as are most treasure hunters, because the real treasure is in the history of each object we discover. Let me know your thoughts and expertise on this item. Thank you.

I can't find it in Albert's book. Nice finds either way!
