NC Joe hits the bottle and we couldn't stop him!!!

NC Joe uncovered a bottle dump next to an old outbuilding at the Colonial property yesterday. He had a signal that turned out to be a tiny metal bottle. As he dug that up there was one glass bottle after another in the hole that was less than 2 feet in diameter.
He ended up with the tiny metal one, 16 glass bottles, one glass tube, and a glass dropper!!!
I did my best to clean them up today, and here are the results.
Joe, My wife said to have you come over and clean up the kitchen sink now.
Most look like medicine bottles with measurements on them. Some of the names on the bottles are:
Foley & Co. - Chicago , Owens , & Lyric.

Can anyone ID any of these of give us an idea of the ages?
The seams travel up over the lip on the bottles.

Way cool finds! What is the story pertaining to the old houses? Are you going to detect inside them? They look to be in good shape for being so old. Can't wait to see what else you uncover!

They are maintained by the owner of the property. The buildings are still in use for storage. No detecting inside them - the property is good enough...

Thanks Birdman - we always try to keep it fun. We mainly stick to the central to western central part of the state. We all live about an hour and a half from each other so it works out well for new spots (change of scenery does good ). I know Joe has hunted the coast a bit - I wouldn't mind getting out there either. North Carolina in general has a lot of great history through it's entirety...

When you work hard enough at researching an area and earning the trust and respect of the landowner enough to be granted permission to md their property - only to have it taken away due to some toolbox that thinks it's okay to "jump your claim" because they found out where you were md'ing - you would keep it "classified" as well. I know of members here who have actually been followed to a particular "hot" location before, only to come back the next week to find that area trashed (hunted heavily, irresponsibly and ignor-antly). I'm sure there are many folks here that can tell similar stories. Maybe they won't be classified... 8)

But in reality, like Andy said above Doug, Andy and I live more than an hour apart from each other, so we hunt all over NC. There's history everywhere, you just have to slow down long enough to find it.

scroll up I posted 2 pictures of the little metal case and vial. This was an amazing bottle dig..... It was really cool to have Andy and Doug and the home owner there as the bottles were coming out of the hole. But I still say Andy's 1891 Seated Quarter was the find of the day!
