NE (MA) storm

Was this a good storm for beach sand erosion? If so, anyone up for hitting the beach tomorrow aft.? Looks like low tide on the north shore is about 16:30. Any beaches to recommend?

Hey Rich...

This "Nor'Easter" kicked up the waves pretty good. Outside of Portsmouth Harbor (NH) we had to cancel an LPG gas tanker hull inspection because they were calling for 15 to 18 feet (waves) so I would think it should churn up a few goodies for you beach combers.

The waves will probably lay down enough for the divers to get into the water at the anchorage site, on Monday, so now that the storm has passed, I weould think you should get out on Sat afternoon, Sunday and Monday...

It was beautiful out (and, unsurprisingly, there were a lot of surfers).

Not the best but not too bad for my second time out on the beach. (First time only ended up w/ garbage and one quarter.) The uncleaned ring is sterling and won't quite fit on my smallest pinky.

Ended up w/ wind/cold-burned cheeks though.

BTW, if anyone found a one-piece survival knife w/ electrical tape over the end (can-opener), I lost mine.

You hit Good Harbor beach I see, very nice, congratulations on your finds. Sorry you lost your "can opener" but it'll give you the excuse you need to go back.

I hit that beach myself once last year, thought for sure I was going to find a ton of clad near the snack bar by the motel but that wasn't the case. I think I ended up with about a buck the day I went out, that and many buried soda cans. The folks up there really buried them deep too.

Glad to see you got out for a while.

Great silvers nice!! I hunted that beach in early Dec....got 5 coins,dog lic tag...lots of shredded alum!! hope we get a good nor'easter''rain..not snow!!'' before summer to open up beaches here been a bad winter for hunting..every where stayed sanded in for most part!! good luck!! nice ring!!

I found a dog tag last week and called up the owners today. The dog was still alive and they seemed happy to get the tag back.

Hope to get out to a beach again this weekend. Not sure which one to try this time.

I've thought about trying down there too. Not too much further than the north shore is for me.
