Got out for about an hour this afternoon after work. It's a yard here in town. The house was built in the 1890s. It pays to dig nickels. Got 2 1906 IHs a buffalo with no date and POW! Nice 1925 high school ring. It says 14k. I'm guessing the ring is 14k and the cap is plated?

Very nice ring! Yes... a good idea to hide the gold when you pull it out-- you never know who's watching at a distance! I read the story once where a guy pulled out a nice Morgan dollar in a park. He was so blown away that he held it and looked at it for a few minutes. Then a street gang circled him and said it was theirs. He didn't even get to take it home.
