Just a few suggestions; <have most of this in my own 'oh crap' pack, for when you are too far from camp to get back and have to spend a night or two away from camp>
*A length of soft iron wire (called "tie wire" at hardware stores) very handy, at least ten or twelve feet
*Some aluminum foil, multiple possible uses
*A metal coffee can - put your goodies in it, and close it with the plastic lid that comes with them; this serves as a waterproof (sort of) container for your emergency kit, and can be used to heat water or cook in
*A few aspirins, for pain, fever or heart attack, stroke etc
*A hand full of hard candies; these will not spoil for a long time and supply quick energy
*A small mirror, handy for signaling or shaving
*A small magnifying glass - not just for fire starting, handy for finding splinters and thorns!
*If room allows, a deck of cards - or some dice, <or both> something to entertain you if you are stuck in place due to foul weather
*A small note pad and short pencil (not pen, which can dry up) for leaving notes or etc
