Need a grade on a 1918 s mercury

Well if the pics come out I would like your opinions on this 1918 s mercury. Do the scratches make this damaged scrap silver?

Not a bad looking dime by the photos. Yes, the scratches I can see will reduce the value a little. Still a nice looking EF. Probably would bring around $10. Little more than silver value.

I agree with everything except "Little more than silver value" seeing the melt value on it is only .87 cents!

Worthless, you should sell it to me for $.50 ;D

It actually looks decent. I'd guess it to be a XF grade.
 

There are 4 deep scratches on the reverse field at 3 o'clock. So do you say It's VF/EF with scratches? Or do you lower the grade?

It is most properly described VF (or whatever the grade is) with reverse scratches. The scratches lower the value, but not really the grade, the grade is the amount of wear on the coin.
