Need a little input from relic experts

I found this near the Warrior River in Central Alabama and recognized it as a Native American artifact, however, would appreciate someone with more knowledge providing some info. Thanks!

It does look like a celt. They were a form of axe. The example at the top in this illustration shows how they were typically hafted to a wooden handle. It's a nice artifact to find.....

Definitely a celt...looks to be heaviy weathered, likely from water ...still a nice find!

Thats cool was it your 1st find? If so there are many seasoned hunters out there that havent ever found one yet. Even though its damaged it would make for a nice frame and study piece looks like its made from Green Stone and a good polish but water polish. I have personally found 2 whole ones and many pieces of Celts, congrats
