Hey hey,
I'm going to get going this spring with my first metal detector,
And my budget is about $600 to
$800 and I need something that is water proof and can go pretty deep,
On beaches,woods,old properties,
Creeks ect, multi purpose.
And must deliver great results too.
So can anyone suggest a top5
I can research?
I'm willing to as high as $1000 if need be I guess lol
I have so meany places I want to check, and so it has to be reliable.
But not a crazy complicated detector lol

I heard, kelly co/Phisher,Mind lab
Are some great ones???

Any sound advice for this newbie
Would be great!!

Thanks,
Steve/ OU812

If you plan to dive deeper water than 10 Ft.
Used Minelab Xcal salt and freshwater....little heavy for land...no meter...but will work great.
Used Fisher CZ-21 same as above...no meter
Fisher 1280 freshwater some land ...little heavy..no meter
Detector Pro don`t know the model # freshwater...no meter
Garrett AT Pro or Gold only to 10 Ft. some say good in salt ...some say it sucks...depends where you use it.
salt or freshwater....make a difference.
Save some money for the scoop.
