need advise on using pinpointer

Just picked up my first pinpointer. A Kellyco Precision V4 pinpointer. Anyone have any info to share about this product and any advise in general on how to get the best use out of a pinpointer ? Thanks,

I like to set my pinpointer's sensitivity to about an inch. More than that, and you're not really "pinpointing."
