Would like to know what this blank coin was supposed to be...it got the raised rim, but blank on both sides. Smige bigger than a quarter. On the one picture the quarter is underneath... 20150510_214531.webp

Looks like a blank from a token machine that never got struck.

That is a possibility! The diameter looks as if it could possibly be a Large Cent Blank but we would need to know the exact diameter and weight of the Blank! Normal U.S. Large Cents minted from 1835 through 1857 should have a diameter of 27.5 millimeters and weigh 10.89 grams. If far outside of those specs, then it could be a Token or Foreign Coin Blank.

Agree, edge looks too sharp to be a coin that circulated enough to be that worn.

Even if your blank were the same dimensions and weight of a certain coin (or token) does not prove it is a blank of that coin/token.

Thanks everyone, and Scrappy since you know what it isn't maybe you could shed some light to what it is, again since this is what this sites/forum is for.....thanks

haha...Well if G-ma gave it to you, may its a foreign coin that wasnt struck..can you see any sort of detail?

Coins for other countries have been minted in this country. Many private tokens have also been minted here for close to 200 years. It could be anything. What it's not is a coin as it's never been struck.
