Hello :hello:

I was wondering if someone would be able to help me out. I am in the process of restoring this vase I have recently acquired and despite numerous days of researching I just seem to be hitting dead ends in regards to identifying the mark underneath. I initially thought it was a polychrome Delft piece but the mark doesn't seem to point towards Delft.

I have included:
  • A photo of the front
  • A photo of the back
  • A photo of the vase cover
  • A photo of the parrot which would have originally sat on top of the cover
  • A photo of the mark underneath

Thank you for your time! I would be so grateful if anyone would be able to point me in the right direction :)

It kind of looks Italian, Spanish or Portuguese to me.

the fact that the art shows a wind mill should be a good start -
Dutch?

Windmills are in Portugal also on the island of Corvo

Hello! Thank you so much for commenting. I was looking up Italian majolica and stumbled across a manufacturer called Fourmaintraux-Feres. Turns out the mark underneath which I thought was J.J is actually F.F. Thank you again for your help!
