Need help identifying this please.

I found a few rocks in Omaha Nebraska. The one is about 9x6 inches and petty heavy, sorry don't have a scale with me. They seem to have a bunch of gold flakes or what looks to be gold flakes and my earth magnets stick to it but it's not a very strong pull. They are not too difficult to break and looks like there are layers to it. The other one picture is quite large and I've broken it open. Thanks for the help everybody. Looks like a chunk of granite with mica in it.

Because you've joined, I suggest you will have better luck getting rocks correctly identified in TreasureNet''s "Rocks/Gems" forum, where the rock-hunters and Geology Majors hang out, posting photos of their cool mineral finds, and helping folks correctly ID them.
