I found this brass relic in an Army of the Frontier Camp last month in southern Missouri. The relic is made from Brass and is about 2 1/2" long. I would appreciate any help in identifying it.Need help indentifying Civil War Relic

How big is it? I know this is an obvious answer but it looks like a clip on bow-tie.
