Found this badge or pin in the same spot as I have found many Rev war to Civil War era items. It is thin and seems to be made of tin...any help would be great!!

Definitely went on some type of furniture. I've seen them complete, what's its missing a bit on top that had a loop. This is where it swivelled over a key hole or covered something else.
